Our Mission
We started out on a quest to design and build a simpler, more efficient automobile engine.
Will we see a Sanderson powered automobile in the future? We believe we will. The possibilities are exciting to contemplate. When we do see an automobile with “S-RAM Inside,” it is likely to be completely different from the vehicles we know today. For one reason, it will probably be described as an “integral hydraulic hybrid.” In other words it will be powered by a piston engine which is also a hydraulic pump. For another, it will not require a crankshaft, drive shaft, differential, or even a transmission. Power will be conveyed to the wheels by means of hydraulic fluid flowing directly to hydraulic motors on each wheel. It will also capture braking energy by means of a highly efficient hydraulic regenerative braking system.
Our mission today is to dramatically improve power conversion efficiency in a number of industry segments, and thereby to significantly contribute to global efforts aimed at achieving a clean, energy-efficient, “green” future.
